The Titanic was to be the greatest ship afloat, shining proof of the industrial power of the modern world. A vision that shattered when it struck an iceberg and sank on 15 April 1912 with the loss of over 1,500 lives. The iconic Oceanworld Manly has just re-launched as the Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary, a world-class facility for breeding and protecting Australian marine life. To mark the occasion, a new exhibit Penguin Cove has just been opened to help visitors understand a little bit about this beautiful but endangered creature and its importance to Manly’s sea shore. The Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary also includes a new facility to care for and rehabilitate sick and injured sea life.
