The National Maritime Museum’s popular Classic and Wooden Boat Festival returns to Darling Harbour this October. This year the action packed family event has been revamped and has plenty to delight little kids and big kids alike.
And for the first time the festival will kick on into the evening with live entertainment and an outdoor festival pop up bar with unparalleled views of Sydney Harbour.
The colourful festival on the weekend of 13 and 14 October gives Sydneysiders the chance to get up close and personal with more than 70 classic boats that recall the golden age of sailing including a dozen beautiful Halverson cruisers.

Arrr! The National Maritime Museum is counting down to the opening of its Pirates! adventure land these school holidays with a pirate themed family fun day to train new pirate recruits. Families are invited to don their best pirate gear and join Captain Feathersword, Henry the Octopus and a host of other pirate scoundrels in a special day of skulduggery on Sunday 16 September.
