VIVID Sydney 
In 2016, the festival of lights, ideas and music has extended to 23 nights, with more than 200 artists’ work on display, 500 speakers presenting at 150 events and 1500 hours of music on the cards from 27 May – 18 June. 
Every year, millions of people flock to see the Lighting of the Sails at Sydney Opera House. This year the Harbour Bridge gets in on the action too. As part of what’s been nicknamed The Dress Circle, visitors will also be able to program the lights on the buildings surrounding the Quay.
The VIVID festival takes place all over the city. Here are a few of the exciting installations through the city.

The display at The State Library of NSW, features the biggest names in music like the Rolling Stones, as well as the local independent band scene. See talented Australian painter, printmaker & designer Julie Paterson at work this week at the State library of NSW
Julie will create a new piece inspired by the amazing waratah designs on show in the Library's free exhibition, Australian Inspiration. Visit Julie between 10am and 2pm, from today until Friday.

 The Night Noodle Markets is back for 2014 with a record 50 food stalls across Hyde Park.
 
New to the markets this year are China Republic, Harajuku Gyoza and Melbourne hit eatery, Wonderbao.
